Why GP Truck Aid Exists
GP Truck Aid was founded because I saw first-hand that not every breakdown or repair is handled the way it should be.
Having worked in the heavy vehicle repair industry, I gained valuable experience with commercial trucks & buses, parts identification, and matching replacement components to OEM specifications. Alongside my industry experience, I have also furthered my education in Occupational Health, Safety & Environmental Studies, giving me a broader understanding of the importance of workplace safety, risk management, and compliance within the transport and fleet industry. That role gave me a behind-the-scenes understanding of what happens after a truck breaks down and what it really takes to get it back on the road safely.
It however also exposed me to an uncomfortable reality.
In any industry, there are businesses that take pride in doing the job properly, and there are others that cut corners when it comes to achieving quicker turnaround times. Whether it's rushing repairs, using unsuitable or dusted-off scavenged parts & mechanical alterations to make it fit to a different model, compromising on workmanship, or choosing the quickest & sometimes unethical solution instead of the correct one, those decisions can cost customers far more in the long run. They can lead to repeat breakdowns, unnecessary downtime, increased expenses, and, most importantly, safety risks. My background has reinforced the belief that safety should never be an afterthought—it should be part of every decision made, from roadside assistance to repairs and ongoing fleet operations.
I knew there had to be a better way.
That's why I founded GP Truck Aid — not as another dispatch service, but as a service built on accountability. When you contact us, you're dealing directly with someone who understands the industry, understands the urgency of a breakdown, and understands that trust has to be earned. I also understand that keeping vehicles moving means protecting the drivers, the businesses they support, and everyone else sharing the road.
I personally coordinate every call and work with a network of carefully selected mechanics, towing operators, tyre specialists, auto electricians, and recovery professionals who share the same commitment: do the job properly, treat customers fairly, and put safety before shortcuts.
My reputation is attached to every service provider I recommend. That's why I don't simply send the closest contractor—I work to connect you with professionals who are reliable, experienced, and committed to quality workmanship. I believe that quality repairs and strong safety practices go hand in hand.
A truck off the road is more than an inconvenience. It's lost time, lost income, and unnecessary stress.
That's why GP Truck Aid is available around the clock, every day of the year, to help get you moving again—with the right people, the right service, and the right approach.
Because doing the job properly isn't a luxury—it's the standard, and you should receive the quality you are paying so expensively for.
